September not only marks the start of spring and Heritage Day, it is also
Tourism Month! To encourage locals to travel more within our borders and make travel accessible to all, SA Tourism has started the #MeetSouthAfrica campaign. We are incredibly lucky as South Africa has so many diverse holiday spots that you could spend a lifetime exploring and still would never have to visit the same spot twice!
Although we're covering three of South Africa's most popular cities (Cape Town, Durban and Joburg), we thought we'd start with the Mother City (being as biased as we are). There is so much to do when in Cape Town
that narrowing it down to a realistic check-list for tourists and locals alike seemed nearly impossible.
FlySafair is currently offering incredibly affordable flights starting from R749* this September. Availability is limited, but when the lowest fare is available it is often the cheapest option by far, even when the cost of a checked bag is added.
SAN Parks is also joining in on the fun this Tourism Month with SA National Parks Week allowing South Africans free entrance to selected parks this month. You can find all the participating parks and relevant dates here.
