Comparing International Airfares | SA.TO Comes Out Tops
Following the recent launch of South Africa Travel Online's new booking engine, we started wondering how our prices compare against those available from our South African online competitors. Our product department goes to great
lengths to negotiate the best deals and we've reduced our online booking fees in an effort to bring you even more affordable flights, so it was about time we take stock of our amazing fares. After a couple of weeks worth of comparisons we can now confidently say that we offer the cheapest international flights just over 90% of the time.
Below are the results from this morning's price comparison with the cheapest airfare highlighted in pink. We've chosen not to reveal the names of our competitors below, as the point isn't to 'name and shame' but rather highlight that doing a little bit of research before making a booking can really pay off. In one instance there was a price difference of just over R1700 between the cheapest and most expensive flight!

3D Secure Payments
South Africa Travel Online now only accepts 3D secure payments for flights online, which protects both the card holder and us (the merchant) against fraudulent transactions. It does however mean that when making payment with a card, you need to ensure that you have immediate access to the one-time PIN and that you enter it in the given time period (determined by your bank). If you aren't already, you need to be 3D enrolled with your bank.
" I strained to see past my two boys, as I pointed to the rows of semi-detached cottages woven together forming unfamiliar patterns. A moment that can only be captured once in a lifetime, the wonder of seeing our boys flying in over a foreign country for the first time ." - Gill
