- Cape Town and Johannesburg - Durban to optimise their schedule. This is a big win for passengers as the result is more low-cost flights operated by Mango between our favourite local destinations. Think more domestic flights starting from R496*!

With Regards to Mango Codeshare Flights
How To Identify a Mango codeshare flight on SA.TO Besides there now being more Mango flights on OR Tambo - Cape Town and OR Tambo - Durban routes, there are now
also more Mango codeshare flights available with SAA. These flights have always been available on SAA and the SA.TO system, now there will only be more of them and fewer purely SAA operated flights on the specific route. These codeshare flights are marketed as SAA flights on the SA.TO system and identifiable with a four-digit SA flight code and the wording "Operated by Mango".
Important Information When Travelling on the Mango Codeshare Flights:
All passengers booked on a Mango flight must check in at the Mango counters at the airports.
SAA passengers travelling on a Mango aircraft will receive a R70 meal voucher to use for on-board snacks and drinks. This will represented by the "083" ticket number on their boarding card stub. Additional snacks and drink have to be purchased in cash.
Passengers who qualify for lounge access based on their tier status within the Voyager Programme will continue to have access to these lounges where they exist.
Pre-seating is not possible on these codeshare flights and can only take place at online check-in 24 hours prior to departure or at the airport during check-in.
Hand luggage allowance is still one piece at a maximum of 7 kg.
Mango will honour SAA baggage allowance as per ticket issued.
SAA Voyager members will continue to earn Voyager Miles when booking a Mango flight on a SAA code and can also spend their Miles on Mango flights.
Mango operated flights will close 40 minutes prior to departure, unlike SAA which closed 30 minutes prior to departure.
Mango does not assist with unaccompanied minors, so it is advised that all unaccompanied minors be accommodated on purely SAA operated flights.

We boarded the plane feeling quite shaky, but not for long. Once we were seated and the hostesses were explaining all the safety rules we calmed down.
