Bringing You Joy | Travel Memories, Virtual Tours & More

As we're nearing our final week of lockdown, the question on everyone's lips has been: What has been bringing you joy lately? As the travel industry has grinded to a halt to help stop the spread of COVID-19, the things bringing us joy are a little different than they were a month or two ago. Today we thought we'd share the answers to this question in the hope of keeping you entertained as we enter the home stretch. Please don't hesitate to let us know what has been putting a smile on your face as well!

Reliving Past Holidays

From watching home videos to finally sorting through photographs, reliving our past holidays and cherishing those memories have proven to be very uplifting. By turning our focus to the positive, instead of what we're missing out on, we are changing our outlook on the current situation. We've always wondered whether we are wasting money on buying trinkets and souvenirs when travelling, but now that we are spending all our time home looking at them we know that they are worth it!

Virtual Tours of Tourist Attractions

When it is time for a change of scenery, we've been loving turning to virtual tours of museums, theme parks and more. Enjoy the Louvre with no queue, experience the Sistine Chapel with no shoving crowd and sing along to "It's a Small World" in Disney World. Sure it is not quite the same as being there, but it definitely beats starting at your own four walls again. Just make sure your Flash player is up to date. You can find more amazing places to visit from your couch here.

Planning Local Trips

We can hardly contain our excitement at the thought of being able to safely leave our homes again soon. We don't know for certain when flights will resume, or when it will be safe to fly again, but luckily we're blessed to be living in a beautiful country with magical holiday destinations just a short drive away from most of our homes. Making a list of local destinations you want to visit on your next weekend getaway gives you something to look forward to, with no need commit and set dates yet.

Until then, we hope you stay safe and sound and we'll see you again on the other side of this. Remember that we are available to answer your questions and assist with changes and cancellations in the meantime. You can also find some of the latest Coronavirus travel updates here and on our home page.
